EKC XR Grip Range

The open grip is the most popular reusable grip in use throughout the world. The EKC range continues this tradition with their XR multiple use open grips.

The screwed cap spring loaded grip is available from EKC Systems. They should normally be used at the non-stressing end of a bed, but when prestressing is carried out using a jack without power lock-off, we recommend their use at the stressing end of the bed.

The Spring Loaded Grip and Double Ended Joiner both incorperate the same wedge that is used in the Open Grip, this minimises your stock levels.

The double-ended grip is available from EKC Systems. They are used to connect two lengths of wire/strand. This enables savings in wastage’s, as the wire/strand may be re-used when the prestressing bed is only partially filled. The large centre plug promotes easy assembly.The grips incorporate the same type of wedge that are used in both open and spring loaded grips, which minimises your stock levels.

The S type single use double-ended grip is only available from EKC Systems. They are used to connect two lengths of wire/strand. This enables savings in wastage’s, as the wire/strand may be connected when one coil is exhausted. The diameter of the units make them suitable for "casting in" as they can pass through the operating cores of most hollowcore casting machines.
